This was a fun little picture book. Having lived in Australia when my own kids were younger, I enjoy reading stories about Australia and Australian animals to the grandkids. We're all fond of kangaroos, koalas, and wombats. So the choice of animals was great."... whoever took it sure is fast! They zoomed by here not that long ago." The repetitive nature of the text was also great since one of my grandkids is an early reader.
My only complaint is a punctuation error. Half of the time, the author correctly places the period inside the "s after "They zoomed by here not that long ago." The other half, she mistakenly places the period outside the "s. Having said that, I really doubt that anyone other than a retired editor would even notice something that minor.
Where's My Sandwich is a lovely small picture book, well suited to early readers who like Australian animals.

This is a funny, amusing story about a missing sandwich. This is a great book for very young readers, full of interesting facts about Australian animals. Kids will probably be able to guess the ending, but they'll have some good time getting through it nonetheless.
A very informative book about marvelous wildlife. Children will enjoy the story as they learn about the habits of some amazing creatures! Plus, there is a very cute moment when the character "finds the sandwich". The colorful illustrations and simple style will keep smaller children entertained as you journey through nature to find that missing sandwich. A fun and informative read!

Where's My Sandwich? is a cute book about a picnic where the food goes missing. Little Nellie walks the paths looking for the culprit who stole her lunch. She runs into a koala bear, kangaroo and a wombat who all inform her they are innocent. Nellie discovers who ate her sandwich and happily races him home. Sweet and to the point, Where's My Sandwich will entertain any child as they discover the food thief.
A fun little story with colorful pictures! My young son loved seeing the Australian animals and pondering which one ate up the sandwich.
Your kid will also be wondering "what moves fast and likes sandwiches"?
Nicely written with cute and simple illustrations.
Tiny tots will love the repetition. But only three animals are introduced, with just a sentence about their preferred environment and diet. And for non Australians, what is "scrub"? The pictures are not very helpful to illustrate either the animal or the facts about it. The text needs a little tweaking. And the kindle formatting could be better too.
A cute story. I adore this book. It’s an adorable story about Nellie, Archie (who we later discover is her dog), and a sandwich that went AWOL. The colorful pictures are simple and vibrant. The author shows not only different animals and what they eat, but also creativity. As Nellie questions each animal along the crumb path, each animal speaks back. The language and cartoonish graphs were engaging and appropriate for Ages 5-8. This book is well-written, beautifully illustrated, and recommended by me to parents of inquisitive children and kid’s that like animals.
